Chris Deslandes is an Information Technology (IT) professional based out of Norwich, CT. He is a graduate of the Rochester Institute of Technology with a Bachelor’s degree in Applied Networking and Systems Administration with a minor in Applied Communications. He likes working on back end IT systems that help support the basic operations that most entities use for day to day operations (e.g. networking, phone systems, e-mail, etc.). He is always looking for his next challenge and likes to build IT systems to accomplish a desired purpose.
In his free time Chris volunteers in educational efforts that promote students entering STEM careers. He is very involved with For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology (FIRST), https://firstinspires.org. There he is the lead FIRST Technical Advisor of the New England region of the FIRST Robotics Competition. In addition, he volunteers in the FIRST Tech Challenge and FIRST Lego League competitions in Connecticut.
Chris also has an interest in Audio Visual applications, and has slowly built up his stock of sound equipment and does some amateur recording and live sound. He prefers to be behind the curtain than in front of it, and likes to help others shine in the spotlight.
